Learn how to speak Danish
Gentofte offers foreign citizens and refugees instruction in the
Danish language if the following terms are met:

You are either a foreign citizen or from Greenland or the Faroe Islands

You are a Danish citizen who no longer masters the Danish language
due to a long-term stay abroad or you were born by Danish parents
who live abroad

You are over the age of 18

You are registered as a permanent resident in Gentofte

You have received a National Registration Number (cpr) from the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs.

How to Enrol
To enrol in a course you have to contact your social advisor. If
you do not have a social advisor, you have to contact Kommuneservice
at the town hall. According to Act No. 375 of the 28th of May 2003 on
Danish Courses for Adult Aliens etc it is possible for local councils to
charge fees from selfsupporting participants. Gentofte Kommune is charging
a fee of 500 kroner per level.
