Moving to Denmark

If you are moving to Denmark from abroad, you will have to register your new address in Denmark no later than 5 days from your moving date.

 

If you are moving to Denmark from abroad, you can register with the National Register, if you are staying in Denmark for more than 3 months.

If you are moving to Denmark from a Nordic country or to an EU-/EØS – country, you will only need to register your move with the National Register, if you are staying more than 6 months.

If you are moving to Gentofte Kommune from abroad, you will have to contact Kommuneservice no later than 5 days after you have moved – please bring your passport and resident permit if necessary.

If you are married or divorce, you will need to bring documentation for your marital status. If you have children, you should also bring birth- or name certificates for all your children.
