Refugees and immigrants who have recently arrived in Denmark will be offered Danish lessons no later than a month after arrival. The Danish language lessons are free for people who meet the requirements.
In order to be enrolled for Danish language lessons, you will need to:
- Be registered at the National Registry in Gentofte Kommune
- Have a Danish CPR number
- Be a foreign citizen
- Be over 18 years
- Asylum seekers, diplomats and tourists do not have the right to free Danish language lessons
What do you need to do in order to get Danish lessons?
If you are covered by the Integration Act and are claiming social security, you will need to contact your case worker in the municipality. If you are self-supporting (also applies to au pairs), you can contact Kommuneservice
