The medicine and treatments should qualify for subsidy according to the Danish Health Act. This means that you will only be entitled to a health subsidy if you also receive a subsidy from the health insurance.
You are not entitled to a health subsidy if your fortune exceeds more than 77.700 kr. It makes no difference of you are single or married/cohabiting. A liquid fortune is for example savings in banks and bonds. A house, car or vacation home is not a liquid fortune.
How much can you get in health subsidy?
The size of the health subsidy depends on your personal subsidy percentage. The higher you personal subsidy percentage is, the more your will get in subsidy. A health subsidy can cover up till 85% of your own expenses (after the deduction of the health insurance subsidy and a possible the subsidy from a private health insurance).
A health subsidy is not taxable.
